CREATIVE INTENT

CREATIVE INTENT

PayPro was Vagaro's first hardware product — and the stakes were high.

The CEO's vision was clear: position PayPro and PayPro Mini as premium tools that keep Vagaro customers deeply integrated within the ecosystem.

The idea of an Apple-inspired reveal emerged from leadership brainstorming — but the concept needed grounding.

My experience at Apple concretized the vision.

Animated light cards were used to reveal the product's edges and silhouettes — creating sleek, high-contrast visuals that felt premium and attention-grabbing simultaneously.

A macro camera approach without depth of field was introduced as a second creative technique — emphasizing the clarity, detail, and contrast of the hardware in a way that commanded attention.

The storyline was structured around what PayPro does — Booking, Payments, and Full Vagaro Integration — introduced through fading typography, before placing the hardware across a salon, a spa, and a fitness gym to answer the most important creative question: who is this for?

PROCESS & CRAFT

PROCESS & CRAFT

The aesthetic direction was built around light & contrast.

Animated light cards were choreographed to trace the edges and silhouettes of both PayPro and PayPro Mini — revealing the hardware gradually, deliberately, and with cinematic precision.

Three shot types structured the entire piece — macro, medium, and full — each serving a distinct narrative purpose and collectively building toward the complete product reveal. Macro shots without depth of field pulled viewers into the fine details, medium shots established context, and full shots delivered the payoff.

The hardware modeling demanded equal precision — every chamfered edge, contrast on logo, and industrial design detail faithfully reconstructed to hold up at every shot scale, from full reveal to extreme macro. The salon environment was rendered with photorealistic accuracy, grounding the premium hardware in a world that felt genuinely real.

Futuristic music and beats were selected to match the visual energy — reinforcing the premium, technology-forward tone throughout.

The final act placed PayPro across three empty environments — salon, spa, and fitness gym — connected through clean fading transitions to communicate the breadth of Vagaro's audience without a single word of explanation.

PROBLEM & SOLUTION

PROBLEM & SOLUTION

The biggest technical challenge was material.

To achieve the sleek, high-contrast aesthetic the concept demanded, the product surface needed to be highly reflective — capable of catching and responding to the animated light cards with precision.

The real PayPro and PayPro Mini, however, had a low-gloss matte finish.

The solution was one of the most powerful advantages of working in a digital environment — the ability to dictate reality.

The material was altered from matte to reflective, unlocking the full visual potential of the light card technique and delivering the premium aesthetic the concept required.

Every macro, medium, and full shot benefited from that single material decision — and the result was exactly what the creative vision demanded.

IMPACT

IMPACT

Reveal started as a lightweight social teaser.

It became one of Vagaro's best performing paid media ads.

Promoted across Instagram and Facebook, the sleek, premium visual language resonated immediately — positioning PayPro and PayPro Mini as hardware worthy of the Vagaro brand and the businesses that rely on it.

A project that began as a social post ended up defining how Vagaro introduces hardware to the world.
