CREATIVE INTENT
CREATIVE INTENT
Vagaro's calendar hadn't seen a major update in over a decade — so when the redesign arrived, it needed more than a product demo. It needed a moment.
The concept came naturally from the product itself — gradients. Colors blending together to form something modern and fresh became the creative foundation.
To bring that authentically to life, 30 footage clips of paint splashing and mixing were hand-curated to ensure every transition felt alive and fresh.
Music was equally critical. After multiple rounds of selection with key decision makers, a track was chosen that reflected the energy of the beauty, wellness, and fitness industries Vagaro serves — and that song became the rhythmic backbone the entire animation was built around.

PROCESS & CRAFT
PROCESS & CRAFT
With the concept and music locked, the animation was designed in layers — each one tied directly to the product's new features.
Multiple gradient color palettes were pulled directly from the redesigned calendar and translated into 2D animation variations, each showcasing a distinct feature: real-time booking, frosted glass UI, global search, infinite employee scroll, and live booking updates.
Every animated moment was crafted to feel like a natural extension of the product — not an explanation of it.
The gradient language unified the entire piece, ensuring that despite the number of features being showcased, the visual experience felt cohesive, modern, and unmistakably Vagaro.

CHALLENGE & SOLUTION
CHALLENGE & SOLUTION
The biggest creative challenge was volume. The CEO and product team wanted every major new feature highlighted — a request that risked turning an attention-grabbing brand film into a lengthy feature walkthrough.
The solution was cinematographic sequence.
Rather than sequencing features linearly, camera angles and editing rhythm were used to control the flow and momentum of the entire piece — each cut dictated by motion rather than feature order.
This kept the energy high, the retention strong, and the viewer engaged without ever feeling like they were watching a tutorial.
