CREATIVE INTENT

CREATIVE INTENT

Claude — Beautifully Direct started with a question: what does an AI brand actually stand for when you strip away the marketing language?

Studying Claude's identity revealed a human-first philosophy built to be useful, not liked — the opposite of the flattery-driven tone common across other AI tools.

Staying true to Claude's real brand language meant staying true to its format too: documentary-style interviews, each person recounting a strange, backhanded compliment an unnamed AI had given them, building toward one clear, confident message.

PROCESS & CRAFT

PROCESS & CRAFT

The script was developed collaboratively with Claude to sharpen each testimonial's punchline, with a full shot list, alternate takes, and backup b-roll lines written in case Seedance 2.0 mispronounced certain words.

Each clip was generated in Seedance 2.0 across five distinct personas and locations, with prompts co-developed using Claude's Opus 5 model to direct performance — acting, expression, and gesture — with the same intentionality given to a live actor.

The final edit was assembled in Premiere, with color refined across every segment and scored with a track from Artlist.

CHALLENGE & SOLUTION

CHALLENGE & SOLUTION

The central challenge was realism — could AI-generated video hold up to the standard of an actual documentary-style commercial?

Dialogue accuracy, visual consistency across five personas, and authentic performance direction were the three obstacles, each solved through deliberate preparation: backup lines for pronunciation issues, careful color continuity across every clip, and iterative prompt-based direction for every gesture and expression.

As a self-directed exploration rather than a client deliverable, the spot is intentionally treated as a first-pass proof of concept — the concept and art direction were the priority, with some finishing details left as known next steps rather than polished to final-master standard.

IMPACT

IMPACT

Claude — Beautifully Direct was a self-initiated experiment, and it delivered exactly the insight it set out to find.

Seedance 2.0 proved to be a genuinely strong model for realism, capable of bringing production-level value to a fully AI-generated commercial — deepening an understanding of the AI video workflow from pre-production through prompt-based performance direction.

The result looks, sounds, and feels like it came from a full production crew. It came from one creative and a deep understanding of how far AI-assisted production has come.
